Happy Monday everyone! Or not-so-happy Monday, whichever it is for you. It's 7:34 in the morning and I've already had an interesting mix of good and bad news.
Once the Musical is coming to Melbourne. Run, do not walk, to get your tickets - it is so good (even Bill agrees, so consider it the perfect date show). Don't watch the movie as a warm up, the more I think about it the more I dislike it and now I wish I'd only seen the musical.
It's 27 degrees outside today. This would be a Good but I'm stuck inside where the temperature is perpetually 3 degrees. I think someone, somewhere had the wacky idea that we'd work better if close to hypothermia. That someone was incorrect.
Half of my team is on leave (I know. Outrageous. As if I ever take leave...) and we have an insane deadline this week. I'm slightly terrified in the knowledge that I'm the only person available to yell (oops, I mean care loudly) at.
Swift check of the email reveals potential for timeline extension. Phew.
My beloved barista, my sweet, sweet, handsome barista who loves Harry Potter and half marathons (I'm pretty sure we're soul mates...sorry Bill) has sold his cafe and is leaving us. I almost wept into my medium, extra-hot, skinny, hot chocolate. No one else can make it like him. NO ONE.
I've got my health. And a pair of gorgeous new red Madewell flats. I'm trusting them to turn this day around.
Here's Joe to kick off the day - I find this little tune equally soothing and meloncholy inducing. Appropriate for a Monday, no?
Have a great day out there everyone. May your goods outweigh your bads (and may your good looking barista never leave you).
